The thesis

Blockchain is a 2008 solution to a 2008 problem.
The problem evolved. The architecture didn't.

Every chain since Bitcoin optimises the same design — one global queue, re-executed by everyone, ordered by auction. SequChain doesn't optimise that design. It retires it: settle owned value at the edge, and only pay for consensus when strangers genuinely share state.

Final in milliseconds, not minutes.

A trade is final the instant its certificate is sealed — no block confirmations, no reorgs. Measured on the hosted testnet: p50 2.5 ms, 99% under 5 ms over 200 live transactions.

Log-scaled bars (times span 2.5 ms → 60 min). Competitor finality figures are typical published values; SequChain's is measured — sub-millisecond in-process (p50 0.4 ms per core), ~2.5 ms end-to-end through the hosted node.

On our 16-core testnet box SequChain sustains a measured ~4,700 TPS (≈850 TPS/core) — more than Solana's or Sui's entire network. Owned transfers touch disjoint state, so aggregate throughput grows as validator machines are added.

* Measured on the hosted 16-core box (scaling sweep 1→16 shards). Scaling is sublinear on a single machine (disk/IO bound) — very high aggregate TPS needs many independent validator machines, which this testnet does not yet run. No unproven "100k TPS" claim.

How a transaction flows

The network is a postal service for proofs.
